Our Maremma Sheepdogs


     We currently have one resident livestock guardian dog here at Diamond Creek.  He is a Maremma Sheepdog that was obtained to guard the chickens, goats and cats (yes, cats) who we were losing so quickly due to a problem with predators. He also works as a guardian of our property by keeping the raccoons, coyotes, skunks and opossums away from our homes, barns and gardens.

Hoss saying his last goodbyes to his parents at 3 months of age.  Hoss' parents are also working dogs.  Both parents work Boer goats as a team down in Georgia.
