Our Maremma Sheepdogs


     We currently have two resident livestock guardian dogs here at Diamond Creek.  They are both Maremma Sheepdogs that were obtained to guard the chickens, goats and cats (yes, cats) who we were losing so quickly due to a problem with predators. They also works as guardians of our property by keeping the raccoons, coyotes, skunks and opossums away from our homes, barns and gardens.

Hoss saying his last goodbyes to his parents at 3 months of age.  Hoss' parents are also working dogs.  Both parents work Boer goats as a team down in Georgia.
